Idocrase
Idocrase assists us in assimilating the nutrients from the food we eat. It strengthens the enamel on our teeth and is said to restore our sense of smell. Idocrase is a stone that represents co-operative and/or joint effort and is therefore an ideal stone to give as a present to newly-weds, business colleagues and perhaps even friends. It can help to dispel anger, release feelings of imprisonment and restraint and to lessen feelings of fear and negativity. Overall, it can help to create a sense of inner security, can open the mind and stimulate our sense of inventiveness and the urge to discover and find out about things. Idocrase is excellent at overcoming depression. This is a stone that can bring us closer to the "higher realms" and one which can provide us with easier access to our sense of our own "higher self". Vesuvianite can increase our levels of Clairsentience and can facilitate both the seeing and the understanding of things on this earth that have no substance.

Ilvaite
Color is gray to black. Intensifies one's patience and provides information to higher self-concerning perseverance. Helps search for truth. Provides grounding and centering while enhancing the creative aspects of one's nature, allowing access to information from advanced realms. Helps align subtle bodies and enhances emotional stability and heightens distinction.

Iolite
(Cordierite) Clear bluish-lavender. Opens a light pathway from Throat Chakra up through Crown. Truth, simplicity, imagery, peace. Living at higher awareness level. Iolite is considered a very strong "Shaman" stone, and can stimulate visions. Alcohol/addiction detoxificator, sobriety. A newer stone recently more available. Iolite is one of the best stones to use in psychic, healing, and spiritual activities. It can open one to psychic talents and expand them, and is excellent for use on the third eye and crown chakras. It can also enhance curiosity. It is also an excellent stone for meditation and astral travel. It helps one grow spiritually in a peaceful approach. Iolite is also said to help build relationships.

Indicolite
Indicolite is blue tourmaline, which is probably the rarest form of tourmaline. Indicolite corresponds to all chakras in terms of clearing, but particularly to the throat and third eye chakras. It is said to aid in the quest for spiritual growth. It increases psychic awareness, and increases healing powers. Indicolite can also bring happiness and laughter to your life. It also promotes inspiration of all kinds, and lessens fear. Indicolite is a protective stone that can dispel curses and protect from all dangers. In the physical realm, indicolite is said to benefit the lungs, larynx, thyroid, heart, internal organs, and parasympathetic nerves.

Infinite
Infinite is often called "the healer's stone." It is particularly useful for healers, athletes, chronic pain sufferers, and others who have an ongoing need for healing energies. Infinite is a soothing and calming stone. It can be used to draw pain out from affected areas. It does, however, need to be cleansed regularly. Although both shades are equally valuable, some people prefer the lighter shades, and others the darker shades to work with. It is excellent for the treatment of joints, muscles, connective tissue, and is excellent at pain relief. It has been called a miracle-working stone.

Ivory
Because of the fact that Ivory is generally considered to be the bone of mammals, and most Ivory comes from elephants, walruses, and whales and poachers have killed so many that certain species are on the brink of extinction, use Ivory ONLY if you are very drawn to it. It can be found mostly in white or cream, although some shades of pink and yellow do exist. It is especially well suited for ailments of the bones, joints, and teeth. Also benefits the skin and the circulatory system. Helps you become more introspective and analytical. It may make you more in tune with animals and nature, but you have to have this desire in order to open a path for this expression. When considering Ivory for yourself, you must always consider why it is important to possess it. If its spiritual value is great enough, you can proceed with the purchase and simply wrestle with the ecological ramifications (it would perhaps help to make a spiritual offering to the animal who died.) But if Ivory is only perceived as jewelry that has nice side effects or as an object of great monetary values, then it would seem wisest to forget it.
