Cosmic Rays
Introduction
Why has the number seven always held so much mystical significance? Besides the obvious answer, that the ancients knew of the existence of only seven heavenly bodies, many occultists hold an entirely different opinion.
They accept the ancient eastern tradition that each man's spirit is not the same, but belongs to one of seven arbitrary divisions. This sevenfold division of man's higher self has evolved into the concept of the seven rays.
Although the seven rays are best known through their theosophical associations, it is not generally recognised that they have connections with yoga.
"The yogis established seven separate schools of yoga in order that any aspirant could choose the one most suitable to his individual spiritual leanings, and there is a definite correspondence between these schools and the rays, as can be seen from the following brief list:
- First Ray of Will - Raja yoga
- Second Ray of Love - Karma yoga
- Third Ray of Form - Jnana yoga
- Fourth Ray of Links - Hatha yoga
- Fifth Ray of Truth - Laya yoga
- Sixth Ray of Devotion - Bhakti yoga
- Seventh Ray of Completion - Mantra or Yantra yoga.
So what are the seven rays?
They are the various facets of the Absolute's manifestation; they emanate as totally abstract principles and in the course of their descent through the levels of their own making become clothed in the substance of each level.
They are, therefore, the highest representations of the Absolute's principles to be found on each level, and act in their sevenfold manner to motivate their manifested form in the direction laid down by the Absolute. Consequently, there is a sevenfold division in all things, including man, even though this is often difficult to appreciate.
"Each of us belongs fundamentally to just one ray, but we also possess minor qualities of other rays which help to form individual characters. As each ray is linked to a colour, a clairvoyant can analyse an individual's spirituality by studying the variety of rays shown in his aura.
"The first three rays are known as the primary rays, and are associated with the three primary colours red, blue and yellow.
- The first ray is red, and this colour indicates the energy and impetus behind all positive conditions.
- The second ray is blue, indicating the negative void of total unity which can be achieved by the highest expression of the emotions.
- The third ray is yellow, which indicates the background of form, or the intellectual organisation responsible for manifestation. These descriptions are usually simplified as Will, Love and Form or Mind respectively.
- The remaining four secondary rays are compounds of the primaries, and can be defined by their colours which represent the same proportions of the qualities indicated by the primary colours involved.
- The main quality of the fourth ray is the ability to form links between any of the rays. Its colour varies according to the rays involved, but it is always a pastel shade.
- The fifth ray, green, has the quality of truth and is a combination of second ray emotions and third ray intellect.
- The sixth ray has the qualities of devotion and idealism, and its purple colour is a combination of first ray will and second ray emotions.
- The seventh ray has the quality of completion or attainment. Its colour, dark brown, combines those of all three primary rays, indicating its secondary quality of wholeness or independence.
Our characters are dependent on many different influences, so the following information on 'typical' ray subjects is only intended as a basic guide.
First Ray
These subjects are motivated by their will and have lots of energy and drive. But this very active force needs creative outlets otherwise it may degenerate into lust or violence. Basically egocentric and often showy, such subjects are very original, but their natural instinct to rush things sometimes leads to a lack of care.
They are stern and sometimes severe, but also fair-minded, paternal, gentle, loving, kind and capable of compassion. Such subjects need to be the dominant partner and, although independent, occasionally need someone to react upon. They tend to have sudden and stunning effects on others, and their will-power is strong enough to force those around them to do what they demand without question.
Second Ray
These subjects are motivated by their emotions stemming from a desire to raise themselves to the heights, so that they can enjoy a unifying relationship with their Maker. They exemplify the passive, feminine quality that is in direct opposition to the positive, masculine assertion of the first ray subjects.
They are strongly attracted to all things, whether people or concepts, that they feel are above them. Consequently, they often use love, the strongest human emotion, in their efforts at drawing themselves upwards.
But wisdom is very important to these subjects also, so awareness or consciousness is a necessity in their relationships. Therefore, they usually play the more passive role. They are affectionate, friendly, kind, quiet, and often endowed with an attractive appearance and disposition.
Third Ray
The mind or intellect motivates these folk. They can give form to ideas and transform them into concepts. The first two rays deal with the intangible, but a third ray subject will resolve such abstractions into tangible realities.
Practical in all things, with a good aesthetic appreciation of quality, they consider intelligence a virtue and manifestation a necessity. They are good at discriminating and formulating their own opinions, hold things connected with the senses in high regard, and have keen perceptions.
Happiness is important to these subjects, whether through the ordinary pursuits of pleasure or education and knowledge. They like doing things with others, enjoy discussion and deliberation, sport, games and art. Because of a deep urge for outside stimulation, such folk need the company of others similar to themselves and, as they are very tactful and diplomatic, they make good advisers and organisers.
Fourth Ray
These subjects are motivated by a deep sense of harmony in all things. They act as the link between the separateness of things, creating unity and making all things equal by bridging apparent barriers. This harmonising effect comes from the inside, acting outwards, and is therefore totally selfless.
Consequently, such subjects are opposed to selfishness and hold true brotherhood of man as their highest ideal. They are adept at co-ordinating various projects and, being able to see a common denominator in opposing people or ideals, have a good understanding of these paradoxes.
Although they can take pleasure from this ability to see things from another's point of view, it can also lead to painful and disturbing experiences. They enjoy become involved with a lot of people, but are very aware of how others see them; this leads them to give only what they receive. These folk are easygoing, preferring to give way rather than upset a peaceful atmosphere.
Fifth Ray
These subjects are motivated by a strong yearning to discover the ultimate truth, a goal they continually pursue. Because they use every part of themselves in this quest they may appear cold and unemotional. Errors which another would ignore are noticed by these folk whose emotions are channelled into the uplifting spiritual pursuit for higher truth.
Their interest in searching out the truth gives such subjects the inquisitiveness to find answers to everything. They must know how things work and how things are in precise detail and, being naturally meticulous, they expect absolute perfection in everything. Associates, social or otherwise, are firmly placed in their correct positions, and great value is laid on correct methods and manners.
Such folk are always prepared well in advance for any eventuality. And, in their personal affairs, are good at holding a stable, objective viewpoint in any situation which may arise.
Sixth Ray
These subjects are motivated by a deep and intense devotion to high ideals, accompanied by a longing for absorption into eternal bliss. Intensely emotional, they act mainly on faith which they trust far more than logic. They are very persistent and cannot be deterred from following their own path and any kind of sacrifice is seen only as a steppingstone towards their aspirations.
Deep involvement, loss of self-identity and single-minded idealism keep them solidly fixed on far distant goals. Unfortunately, they may appear gullible and meek to others and often suffer as a result.
They are devoted and loyal to their friends, easily become emotionally involved in relationships and are quite often hurt. Consequently, such subjects sometimes assume a brash facade which barely covers their inner lack of peace and security.
Seventh Ray
A need to materialise on earth all that exists above, by making realities out of other men's dreams, motivates these subjects. Therefore, they act as they think, feel and will. They are extremely aware of the separateness of each thing, and function naturally as a complete, self-sufficient unity.
This makes them very independent and earthy with the capacity to do without other people entirely. This independence, unlike the first ray subject's freedom from restrictions, indicates complete attachment to material surroundings.
Through their unity of being and detachment from others they can become self-centred and find it difficult not to use other people for their own purposes. They are materially minded and sow seeds solely that they can gather the fruit - always expecting a return from their investment and favours.
These subjects have to be the dominant in their relationships with others and may develop a tendency to treat everybody as either possessions or servants.
The Seven Planes And The Seven Kingdoms
The Rays working through Elementals act as a sevenfold division of archetypes, through the Devas as a sevenfold division of form, and Humans as a sevenfold division of consciousness. We can appreciate the existence of the Elemental and Devic evolutions because together they are responsible for the Seven Planes.
The Seven Planes exist as the archetypal collection of graded impulses stemming from the Absolute.s Divine Will. As such, they are beyond any concept of duality so they alone are aware of their existence, which is their natural condition of beingness. They are the First Primary Cause, the Elemental Lords of Flame. For the Planes to be useful to the Absolute and to aspects of His creation, the Elementals have to be organised into life by the Devic Lords of Form, to create an appearance that can be used by the Human Lords of Mind in their quest to manifest their quality.
This demonstrates that the Planes are a combination of Devic and Elemental life, which can only function as part of our reality when balanced with the qualities of the Human Seven Rays.
The Seven Planes are the seven divisions of energy and form, which we confuse with levels of consciousness just because our awareness is able to access them. For example, the Astral Plane exists whether we are conscious of it or not ~ it has its own independent reality which the Elemental and Devic lifestreams are responsible for.
Our consciousness can be aware of it through the medium of the Seven Rays, but the Astral Plane is there for purposes other than for us to dream on, it is a reality for other beings existing on other lifestreams as much as the physical Plane exists through our own concept of reality.
Each of the Seven Planes is divided into seven sub-planes, and each Plane and sub-plane relate to the Rays as do their counterparts on the Physical Plane. Our reality exists on the seventh sub-plane of the seventh Plane.
Our normal physical environment is related to the Seventh Ray, because it is composed of solid tangible matter. This is how we are aware of it, through all our senses, from sight to touch.
We also know the physical world is composed of intangible forms of matter called molecules, atoms and sub-atomic particles. We can equate these three states of matter, which can only be detected with scientific instruments rather than our own senses, with the first three Primary Rays.
Sub-atomic particles are present throughout the universe and have no barriers; they pass straight through everything, including the planet Earth, and we only recognise their existence through their interaction. These particles form the primordial essence of the entire universe, because they belong to the Elemental Kingdom.
They exist in their pure unmanifest condition on the highest level of physical reality, but because they are responsible for all physical manifestation they are also the substance of the lower four levels which require co-operation from the Devic Kingdom to produce a physical reality which Human beings and other forms of earthly life can interact with through the agency of the Human quality of conscious awareness.
The difference between the Elemental existence on the highest sub-atomic level and the four lowest levels is that on the highest level the Elemental beings have a separate existence which we can only understand through the idea of archetypes. The First Primary is the level at which the archetypal ideas of physical forms exist, which is the energy that ensures every cat will look like all other cats, to use a simple example.
This is the first sub-plane of the Physical Plane, the sub-plane of archetypes, the level of the Absolute.s Divine Will. The lower four levels of Fire, Air, Water and Earth then become the arena through which the Absolute.s Divine Will is made manifest. On these lower four levels the archetypal idea translates into a type of manifestation unique to each level, so that the Fourth level contains form which fits the archetypal category of energy, the Fifth level gases, the Sixth level liquids, and the Seventh level solids.
Atoms have a more permanent and tangible existence. They are the basic forms of all physical matter, and group together to form molecules that have entirely different qualities to the atoms of which they are composed. We know that nuclear energy holds them together in a stable condition and that when they are "smashed" they produce a chain reaction which causes other atoms to break down into sub-atomic particles.
We also know they have certain qualities which we can use to determine their actions, such as the way they can be grouped into "families" according to the Periodic Table, how these elements can be described by colour through spectrum analysis and by using this method we can determine the elements of distant stars. This ties them in with light and colour, which is the esoteric reason light is used to describe the Second Primary realm of atoms.
Next are the molecules, the basis of our physical existence and of life itself, because DNA is a molecular substance. This makes it easy to see how molecules relate to the Third Primary. The difference between molecules and atoms is that molecules can easily be transformed through chemical reactions, whereas atoms can not.
Translating this into esoteric terminology we can see how Second Primary atoms are permanent and dependent only on the First Primary of sub-atomic forces, whereas Third Primary molecules, as a manifestation of angles, are subject to continual change, whether they manifest as genes or something more tangible like flesh and blood.
Therefore the Devas of the Third Primary, which equate with the molecular world, organise the Elementals of the First Primary, which equate with the world of the sub-atomic particles, into appreciable forms through the lower four levels to create physical matter which Humans can interact with through the Second Primary of consciousness awareness.
This is accomplished on an atomic level, so that the atoms responsible for our physical form hold the key to our understanding of our physical existence. Atoms are composed of sub-atomic particles, and form into molecules which are responsible for life as we understand it, because they are the physical manifestation of the Primary Rays.
However, before the Elemental, Devic and Human life-streams, acting as the three Primary Rays, can experience life, they have to unite and create a temporary reality as a vehicle of expression, which they do on the fourth or middle sub-plane.
This fourth state is the energy field related to the etheric, the element of Fire, and the plasma condition of matter. On this level all three life-streams can unite to act out their role in providing experience for the Absolute.
If further experience is required, from this fourth state of existence three more states can be added, each relating more particularly to one of the life- streams, and which approximately mirror the higher three states which are unable to manifest physically without the co-operation of the other life-streams.
These extra three states are the elemental worlds of Air, Water and Earth: Air relating to the Third Primary of form, Water to the Second Primary of consciousness and Earth to the First Primary of will. The fact that the highest condition of life which exists as the First Primary is also inherent in the most dense state of solid matter, the seventh sub-plane related to the Seventh Ray, is a good example of the Quabbalistic concept of Kether in Malkuth.
The Seven Rays And Humanity
Human beings are part of the Second lifestream, and are governed by the Second Primary of Love or Consciousness. This shows that basically we are creatures of consciousness, a fact that every great religion and philosophy has preached, and a fundamental spiritual truth.
What we consider to be our normal everyday selves, our personal awareness, is our personality. This can be affected by many various subjective influences, hardly any of which originate from our Higher Self - which only works through the Seven Rays.
Therefore the Rays are not applicable here, and the nearest we get to understanding the variety of personality types is through astrological influence, acting as a link between the Rays and the influences our personalities are able to interact with.
It is the Human soul which exists as part of one of the Seven Rays, giving each person the ability to act as a channel for one of the Rays, once a certain amount of soul contact has been established. The soul Ray is responsible for our spiritual evolution by training our personality in the use of the individual Ray energies available to us.
It is the Devas and Elementals who are responsible for our reality. They work together to form the physical existence which we take for granted, but which we Humans are also partly responsible for because it is our awareness of our surroundings which gives these surroundings their objective existence.
As Human beings we are machines used by the Absolute for the evolution of all three life-streams, and although ultimately we are conscious Human beings, we are also composed of Devic and Elemental essences which are responsible for our physical bodies and life energies respectively.
The Seven Rays interact with a Human being through the medium of the seven major chakras which form links between each of man.s bodies that exist on higher sub-planes above the physical. Our chakras are numerically related to both the Seven Rays and the Seven Planes, so that the lowest, the Base Centre, relates to the Seventh Ray, and the highest, the Crown Centre, relates to the First Ray.
The highest three chakras, the Crown, Head and Throat, work mainly with Elemental, Human and Devic energy respectively, giving us our life-force or will, our consciousness, and our form or physical body. This ties in with our spirit, soul and personality. In real terms, the Third Ray is responsible for our mental faculties, the Second Ray is responsible for our awareness, and the First Ray is responsible for our physical motivation.
The lower four chakras work with the four Rays of Attribute through the medium of the four elements which correspond to the lower four Planes. These Planes are formed out of the substance of Elementals ~ which is why they are alluded to as the "elements" ~ and are organised into realities perceivable by Human consciousness through the interaction of the Devas.
In a Human being, the Earth element governs the solid form, from skeleton to skin; the Water element governs the liquid form, from the water content of the body to the bloodstream; the Air element governs the gaseous form such as the breath; and the Fire element governs the energy form such as the nervous system.
Although each person belongs fundamentally to just one Ray, we also possesses minor qualities of other Rays which help to mould the individual character. This is similar to the situation in astrology, where every individual with a Leo sun sign will also have traits taken from other zodiac signs dependent on planetary placings and his Ascendant.
There the similarity ends. It is not possible to ascertain a person's Ray type from a study of the horoscope, because the energies of the Seven Rays which manifest on Earth originate from the realms of the stars far beyond our own solar system, and their energies are scaled down even before they reach the stars which comprise our zodiac signs.
So the Seven Rays, besides being a way of classifying and relating all manner of things both spiritual and mundane, also show that there are seven different approaches to spirituality, as each individual.s soul or Higher Self functions on just one of these Rays. Above this is our spiritual essence or Monad, which does not function through the Seven Rays but only through the three Primary Rays.
Angles
The relationship between each of the Seven Rays and how these energies work into physical manifestation introduces the concept of angles.
Angles are non-physical energy connections that underlie all physical reality. They are the common denominator of everything that exists in the physical world and beyond, because they form the actual blueprint of all physical existence, both living and inert.
Just as the Seven Rays are the seven natural divisions of any reality, angles are the subjective relationship between two or more objective realities. Angles do not have an objective existence of their own, and operate as subjective connections between apparently unrelated forms. They are the result of the co-operation between the Devic and Elemental life evolutions, and function beyond our earthly Human objective awareness.
Although the idea of a relationship implies a connection we can understand with our logical minds, the truth is that everything in the universe is connected directly or indirectly to everything else. A lot of connections are obvious, such as your hand is connected to your arm, or a strong wind is responsible for leaves falling from trees, and in these instances the connection is objective, because we appreciate the connection.
However, there are many indirect connections between things that are not obvious, because for anything to exist in the physical world it has to be connected in some way to the reality of physical existence. We cannot understand such connections because they are subjective and involve angles.
Every variety of manifestation on our planet owes its origins to angles through their intimate connection with form. They are symbolically assigned two of their own attributions, "intention" and "substance". "Intention" is produced by the Elemental Lords of Flame, and "substance" is produced by the Devic Lords of Form, who are also responsible for the construction of angles, using the medium of the archetypal Elementals as co-operative ingredients. This why the Devas are known as the "builders of the universe".
Angles are not form and only become so when the third ingredient is added, which is conscious energy or love. This is the attractive and creative force in the universe that stimulates angles into producing form on the lower four planes of manifestation. This joins with the two attributes of angles making a temporary, non-evolving life form which exists until consciousness ceases to be applied, and the life form returns to being a mere angle.
When angles are activated and become temporary life forms they have a threefold existence of life-force, consciousness and form. Angles are not living beings: they do not evolve or belong to a particular Kingdom of evolution, but are a natural product of the Devic evolution, who create angles like we think.
Devas produce angles to give structure to the archetypal energy fields of the Planes - the basic state of the Elemental archetypes, by converting them into a condition that can be utilised by the Second Primary of consciousness. Once they have been activated, they fulfil their particular role through the angular structure of the etheric sub-planes of the lower Planes of Fire, Air, Water and Earth. Each Plane and sub-plane is of one element only, and therefore consists of only one type of Elemental being.
Angles are not part of any occult or spiritual system, but exist in a variety of specific forms that appear to be totally unrelated until you understand the concept of angles. Ancient tradition recognised angles but chose either to personify them, or call them specific names depending on which of their numerous functions was being described.
A few examples are the aka threads of the Huna religion of Hawaii; the cords of the spider's web in European mythology; acupuncture meridians that distribute chi energy through the body, the similar nadis of yoga; plus the .elementals. of medieval magic.
In real terms, you cannot give specific examples of angles, you can only have what angles represent in each situation. This is because once you limit angles to any kind of definition, this becomes the concept that has been arrived at via angles, and so angles remain constantly subjective and beyond description.
Angles do not have any kind of form of their own, even in the most abstract sense, but should be thought of more as potentialities of form after a definite archetypal pattern.
As the necessary ingredient of form, they exist in conjunction with manifestation on all Planes and sub-planes from the cosmic Third Plane downwards, which is the highest level on which form of any kind can exist.
In addition, angles always consist of the energies or substance peculiar to the Plane or sub-plane on which they function, although they also form connections between Planes. This is because "intention" works through a particular sub-plane that corresponds to the most suitable form or "substance" for a particular idea; so that when the circumstances surrounding the manifestation become ideal, creating the opportunity for Human involvement, the Deva is bound to create the angle out of the Elemental life of this sub-plane.
Individual Humans also owe their existence to angles. The Lords of Karma, evolved Devas associated with the planets, are responsible for creating Human angles before birth. The individuality of each person is based on the interpretation of the karmic necessity earned in previous existences, which determines the structure of the angles to be used as the vehicle for Human consciousness.
Angles also produce the natural environment without which there would be no life on Earth, and which people need to gain experience of life. Devas co-operate with the Elementals of each Plane or sub-plane to produce our normal surroundings, together with the variety of environmental effects which have the ability to affect our lives.
Weather patterns are a good example of angles in operation, from earthquakes and volcanic eruptions on the earth sub-plane, to storms and tidal currents on the liquid sub-plane, to hurricanes and storms on the air sub-plane, and lightning on the energy sub-plane. The ancients were more aware than modern people of the hidden forces that caused these changes in the environment, and learnt how to work with these natural forces of the planet, who they knew as gods.
Angles link a Human being to his natural life environment via his etheric sheath or vital body. The etheric sheath acts like a scaffolding for the physical form, much like a spider's web. Each thread of the web acts as a channel that connects the pranic life-force of the higher sub-planes to the seven major chakras.
These lines of the spider.s web are one representation of angles. They form connections between every part of a Human being, because they form the blueprint of his identity, of his essence and of his potentialities. Every aspect of Human existence depends on one of these lines or angles making a connection to the rest of his form.
Angles, as the fabric of consciousness, are the framework through which we have conscious experience. Through the application of our conscious energy - often outside of our normal awareness - we inject them with the third balancing force, and once their three ingredients are in balance, their "intention", "substance" and "consciousness", the angle is activated.
This process demonstrates how they are responsible for a person's attributes, likes, manners, dreams, experiences, abilities, senses, intelligence, thoughts, emotions, pride, passion, love, compassion, health and energy. Absolutely everything concerning a human individual, even before birth and after death, is dependent on angles.
If we consider a person as an angle, the First Primary is the will, which works as the archetypal energy which make us Human, the Second Primary is our consciousness, representing our condition of awareness and the Third Primary is our angular form, representing our body and physical shape.
The sum total of a person's angles, that have been imbued with consciousness and therefore brought to life, could be seen as a single Devic being: our personal guardian and provider, our Holy Guardian Angel. This is the Devic life who exists through the accumulation of awareness that is linked to our angles, and whose role is to sustain the balance between form and consciousness.
However, the Human etheric angular structure is only one representation of angles in man's natural environment: EVERY manifestation on our planet owes its origins to angles through their intimate connection with form, because angles are the subjective relationship between ANY two objective realities.
Angles are responsible for the interpretation of every reality we are normally able to experience, because they originate with universal energies that have their origins in the delicate balance and interaction of the planets in our solar system. The highest representations of angles in our reality are the astrological aspects between planets.
These planetary angles are in continual motion but always retain a permanent existence, as the relationship between individual planets varies their intensity and influence over time. On Earth, we interact with angles like these because they have a subtle effect on various levels of electromagnetic frequencies, which are tuned to our Human sensory apparatus working through our chakras.
As the original angular set exists in the relationship between the planets in our solar system, these angles can be determined approximately from a horoscope. More than this, each individual is part of a huge angular structure that ties us in with all forms of life in the universe, from planets and stars, to Devas and Elementals.
Humanity as a whole is an angle as much as each individual is a smaller angle within the group collective, and the constituent parts are all based on the same original design: as above, so below. This is the origin of the idea of archetypes, or in a mythical sense that "man is made in God's image", because all Human beings are archetypal man with the same basic angular set.
So What Are The Seven Rays?
The concept of the Rays originated in the ancient Vedic literature of India, and were associated with the Seven Rishis, advanced beings who acted as agents of the Absolute. The Seven Rays were introduced to the west by Madam Blavatsky, and included in her book The Secret Doctrine.
Madam Blavatsky founded the Theosophical Society in the late 19th century, and this influential society, which is still in existence, was born of the spiritualist movement. Blavatsky was a medium, and although branded by many as a charlatan, she created a brilliant amalgamation of myth and magic, which attempted to give occultism a scientific rationale.
The early days of this society produced a lot of work by occult writers that laid the foundation for most of the new-age concepts we are now familiar with, such as chakras, the astral plane, and the Hierarchy. She said she was aided in her work by the Masters, benevolent human beings of an advanced type, with magical powers such as telepathy and bio-location.
Amongst her variety of teachings on the ancient wisdom was the concept of the Seven Rays, the divine energy responsible for the evolution of all life. Everything we know about the Seven Rays is based on the work of Madam Blavatsky.
The story does not end here though. One follower of Blavatsky, a member of the Theosophical Society, and another devotee of the Masters and divine guidance, was Alice A. Bailey. She lived in the first half of this century, and wrote many books based around the concepts introduced by Blavatsky, including a 5-volume work on the Seven Rays, written in collaboration with a Master.
Her ideas on the Rays differ slightly to those propounded by Blavatsky, but they agree in principle. Almost everything we know about the Rays today is based on the Alice Bailey books, because she gives specific detailed accounts of how they function. However there are numerous discrepancies within both of their works, and much that is completely obscure.
The essence of the teaching behind the Seven Rays is that each of us develops along one of seven different evolutionary paths. This makes the transmission of objective knowledge concerning the Rays very difficult, because each interpretation will be tailored to suit the Ray type of the communicator.
We believe there are seven distinct paths of spiritual evolution, and so it is important that people working on each Ray should have access to this information.
Today, the Rays can be seen as a way of appreciating the healthy difference between cultures and ideologies, and how the accent should be on the role of each individual to find their own spiritual path: we do not need to convert people to our beliefs, but help them to discover their own!!
How The Rays Work Through Humanity
Humans are Second Primary creatures, and have a closer relationship with stars than with planets, which are of the Third Primary Devic evolution. Humans are born into earthly life to perform definite roles within the Absolute.s Divine Plan that lower beings are unable to accomplish, and the Human involvement with the planetary ecosystem is of secondary importance.
Humans are able to work with more refined energies originating with the Seven Rays, and this gives us the ability to use our conscious energy to adjust the stellar energy involved in our life process. Humans have the divine ability to create out of these energies, by exercising their gift of FREEWILL together with the objective awareness required to manufacture objects through the manipulation of the natural substances of his environment.
Evolutionary energy from the Seven Rays operates through most people in a purely subjective fashion, and is instigated before birth. Individuals of a particular Ray choose to be incarnated at certain times to accomplish particular tasks in the evolution of Humanity.
An example is the interest in new age healing therapies, and the prominence of the caring professions which are a consequence of the prevalence of Second Ray souls who were born several decades ago, and are now mature enough to give Humanity a slight nudge in their particular spiritual direction.
In this way, every person, with or without spiritual awareness, can become a channel for the energy of their soul Ray, and so develop the Divine Plan that is naturally evolved and played out through Humanity on Earth. While Humanity remains ignorant of the life processes involved in this ability to fashion the environment, the Second Primary energy used to accomplish this is linked to the archetypal First Primary.
The First Primary works through archetypes to extend the barriers that it was responsible for creating in the first place, in order to increase and add to these archetypal qualities. The essential role of the First Primary is to continue the evolutionary process.
This means that Humans are using Second Primary energy to create Third Primary forms that have been initialised by the First Primary of archetypes working naturally through them. So although Humans have the ability to create by combining Second Primary conscious energy with Third Primary imagination, unless they deliberately employ their own will, their creations can only match the original First Primary archetypes.
With very few exceptions, everything that exists on Earth has been inspired by higher intelligences, and Humans are mere tools of the 'gods'. In this way, man is conforming to the Divine Plan as originally conceived by the First and Third Primary energies of the cosmos, even though he may believe he alone is responsible for his creations.
The Seven Rays And Life On Earth
To illustrate the natural process of the Primary Rays, imagine a still lake which represents the Second Ray. If we throw a stone into the water, we have used a First Ray action to initiate a result, and the ripples that spread across the lake as the stone hits the surface are Third Ray.
This demonstrates the impetus which First Ray energy is able to create, but first there has to be a still lake waiting for a stone to be thrown into it. The reaction of the stone hitting the water creates the form, as waves ripple out from the centre. As ripples, they have no form of their own, but their action can affect form indirectly, such as the movement of a leaf floating on the pond.s surface.
The first three Rays are based on the Primaries, so the First and Second Rays can be too refined to function independently, and often work in conjunction with another Ray. The Third Ray is different; it marks the point where we leave the realms of intangibility and begin to enter the more tangible realms of craft.
The Third Ray is where form begins; it is the root of imaginative thought which leads to ideas, and the translation of the intangible into form. From the Third Ray, the other four Rays of Attribute are born, to accomplish the ends begun with the Primaries. Rays Four through to Seven put Form into perspective, giving them the ability to manifest in our physical reality through a division into practical states of being.
Let us first look in more detail at the First Ray. It stands for the law, and the creative use and extension of the law as circumstances change, allowing more things to be encompassed. The natural energies working through the First Ray understand the law, are aware of the barriers created in the name of the law, but the true function of this Ray is to increase the extent of those barriers.
A First Ray person will be aware of the law, but is responsible for showing its limitations. This can be done by setting an example, either through influence or confrontation, leading to the implementation of a new law. The same applies to scientific laws, which exist as truths until a new set of circumstances are discovered, which does not mean the law is broken, but that it requires redefinition to include new discoveries.
When an archetype is used by the First Primary, it is given the freedom to grow and evolve because the laws that govern its existence can be extended, and this is the true purpose of an occult symbol or archetypal image.
The First Ray is the most subjective Ray, but attempts to objectify its natural subjective life energies. The First Ray is above the duality of any opposites, as it is pure energy with a singular motive. For this reason, First Ray people exhibit an apparently selfish motivation with no consideration for another's opinion: a First Ray person knows and feels what he is doing is right.
The Second Ray works in the opposite way, it is the most objective Ray in one sense, but this creates a need to become subjective. Therefore, the Second Ray can also appear selfish, because people of this Ray are trying to resolve the duality: unlike the First Ray they are aware of the opposites but feel a compulsion to resolve them, by bringing them together in an act of love. The Second Ray person has the ability of seeing both sides of any situation and attempts to resolve their differences by attracting the opposing factors to join up as a singular reality.
This bears a slight similarity with the natural function of a Fourth Ray person. Whereas the Second Ray is aware of the two sides of any pair, this awareness is of the void that exists between them, however close they are brought together. Conversely, the Fourth Ray will use its own energies to actively become the void between disparaging elements, in order to dissolve the opposites. By introducing a different level of communication, it can resolve an apparent separateness for as long as the Fourth Ray continues to be involved, because a Fourth Ray soul has the ability to act as an activated angle. This is different to the Second Ray involvement with the relationship between opposites, which acts from the opposing poles rather than from the gap between them.
It is natural for the First Ray to function on more impersonal levels than the other two Primary Rays, because the Second Ray soul is far more concerned with individual people, their health and general well being, and the Third Ray deals with the natural world, nature and wildlife in general, the welfare of animals, and the ecological balance required to maintain a healthy environment. The reason for this is that the First Ray deals with energies; the Second Ray with consciousness and the Third Ray and the four Rays of Attribute deal with the manipulation of Devic form, from imaginative ideas, to art and crafts in general, to music, movement and dance, and the realisation of these ideas.
There is also a distinction between the Third Ray person, and those of the other craft Rays. Because Humans experience the energy involved in angular operations as memories, Third Ray people use their natural affinity with this energy to apply their memories in an efficient way. This often manifests as a unique talent, or a flair for organisation, both of which use the Third Ray person.s ability to manipulate angles into form, rather than using angular energy to create, which functions through the Fourth, Fifth, Sixth and Seventh Rays.
As both consciousness and light are manifestations of the Second Primary, and divisions of consciousness and divisions of light are also Second Primary, we can see that the Rays must also represent divisions of consciousness and divisions of light. Through its obvious connection with light, colour is the essence of the Second Primary in the physical realm as well as in the higher levels, so it relates to Human beings both individually and collectively, and also to the manifestation of consciousness on every level.
This is why Humanity represents the Second Primary, and why the Seven Rays are the divisions of the Second Primary. The only difference in higher manifestations of the Second Primary is a variation of the colour scales involved. Therefore, each Second Primary reality will only differ in the variation of colours found in its spectrum; so different colour scales will mark the different levels, but every level directly connected to the Second Primary will manifest colour. This results in a different variety of colours representing the same divisions of reality: colour variations are indicative of the consciousness level being experienced.
Colour varies considerably according to the different circumstances in which it is found because it exists on the borderline of the objective and subjective states, like a rainbow mirror which reflects man's opposing conscious conditions that are responsible for his normal awareness. Colours actually represent the sevenfold division of anything we can imagine through their intimate connection with consciousness.
The variety of hues or tones of colour are the purity and characteristics of each Ray being, but as the colours we see are incomplete this information is not particularly useful. The importance is the connection between colour and consciousness, and that colour can affect consciousness on every physical level, which can be useful in healing. This is different to sound and music, which are allied to the Third Primary, and work through the actual manipulation of angles.
As the Rays have a common source, they have definite relationships with each other, and this is another way we can understand their functions. The Second and Sixth Rays are similar in many ways as both are associated with various types of relationships, but with the Second Ray there is an impulse to remain individual with a preference for a partnership based on equality; whereas the Sixth Ray person tends to place their opposite number on a pedestal as their ideal, and is content with this unequal relationship.
Other pairs of Rays are less similar, although still easy to confuse as they share a common quality. As the Second and Sixth Rays are both concerned with all types of relationships, and are therefore predominantly emotional, so the First and Seventh Rays share the quality of the will and strength of purpose, and the Third and Fifth Rays share the quality of mind in all its diverse aspects.
The absence of the Fourth Ray in any of the above pairs does not imply that it is the easiest to distinguish. The opposite implication is nearer to the truth, as its atmospheric, co-ordinating and linking qualities make it compatible to any of the other Rays, and it can often work through many different Rays.
The Fourth Ray has influence over the higher and hidden parts of something which hold everything together, like the etheric web or angular structure, and so is naturally attracted to group situations, environments and atmospheres. It also functions on non-physical and intuitive levels, such as psychic atmospheres, tradition, geographical places or sites that have an aura of mystery.
A Fourth Ray person naturally connects to the influence emanating from people, places or situations; and has the ability to create environments and atmospheres which will produce similar effects on others. They are true artists who can resolve conflict into harmony, but often at great personal involvement and cost.
The Seventh Ray is also able to connect with different areas of experience but uses a more objective and linear form of connection than the atmospheric linking of the Fourth Ray. With the Seventh Ray comes an objective solution to bridging the gap, and the only sense of involvement is the feeling of accomplishment without the personal attachment which is required by the Fourth Ray.
The Fifth ray works as the pursuit of an objective, a progressive refining process that leads to the ideal solution. This is continued through the Sixth Ray when the ideal solution becomes unification with perfection, and the intense unmoving desire for this unity eventually causes the reality to become earthed through the Seventh Ray.
Attributes Of The Seven Rays
To demonstrate how all natural life processes can be divided according to the Rays, the following example illustrates how this applies to the manufacture of any man-made object, and could equally fit any project.
- 1st RAY Conception of original idea, the physical work or effort involved in every process, from thinking of the idea through to its actual manufacture, plus the concept of being 'lost in one's work'.
- 2nd RAY The uplifting emotions surrounding the conception of the original idea and the processes involved, and the anticipation of its completion
- 3rd RAY The intelligent organisation of the activities necessary, i.e. assembling materials and information, planning the sequence of processes, the practical application of perfecting its form, taking meticulous care to adhere to its original conception using its 'thought-form' as a guide, and continually testing to ensure that each detail exactly matches the original plan.
These three divisions of the manufacturing process cover the whole concept, as they are divided according to the three Primary Rays. The remaining four divisions could be considered sub-divisions, as they could be covered by one of these Primary categories.
- 4th RAY Co-ordination between the various processes, and between the various individuals or units.
- 5th RAY Testing of capabilities, and research and development into modifications of the original, with a view to improvement.
- 6th RAY Emotional involvement with the idea of the item, particularly with its future potential and possibilities, also the image as seen by the consumer via the advertising media.
- 7th RAY Completion of all processes, the finished product and the end of the cycle.
The next example is more personal, and describes the different approaches each Ray can bring to a common situation, in this instance reading a book.
- 1st RAY The initial urge to read, the acquisition of a book, the action of reading and the idea of being lost in reading.
- 2nd RAY The enjoyment or pleasure experienced from the reading, especially the uplifting or other emotional stimulation gained, and in particular the inspiration received from it. Also, the appreciation of your idea of a good book, in whatever context this suits you.
- 3rd RAY The enjoyment or pleasure experienced from the reading, the facts and the intellectual stimulation, and the ideas a book may produce in the mind. The love of books as vehicles for ideas.
- 4th RAY The enjoyment of the 'atmosphere' of the book, through its association, romantic or otherwise, with a certain part of the world or historical period, or even because of an affinity felt with the author.
- 5th RAY An intellectual appreciation or criticism of the way the book is written, its grammar, its facts or just its content.
- 6th RAY An emotional attachment to a character or a sense of involvement in the situation or ideal that is portrayed.
- 7th RAY Completion of the book, the fact that another book has been read, the way of using certain ideas contained in the book in a practical way that will be of benefit to your life. Also the idea of possessing a book without any intention of reading it.
The Ray energy of the soul is the sum of qualities only you know you possess, however deep this knowledge might be buried inside you, and it does not have to make itself apparent in any way externally in order for it to function naturally through you: because your ray is your true spiritual motivation.

Humans are the product of three life-giving energies. The positive male god force from the stars in our heavens reacts on the female goddess form of the planet Earth beneath our feet to produce a consciousness energy field that is finely tuned into the solar system 'body of god' through the agency of the constant regular movement of the Sun ~ the true symbol of man's beingness.
The individual Human being is of one Ray, and one Ray only. The part of the individual that relates to their Ray is the Higher Self, which in turn relates to a Human's true Monadic existence, which is only subject to a threefold rather than sevenfold classification. In the image of this Higher Self is the Personality, which relates not to a Ray but to a Plane through its intimate connection to form. Astrologically, the life impulse of a Human is shown by the Sun's natal position, the consciousness type by the Ascendant, and the form aspect by the natal Moon.
The Sun 'controls' our conscious response to our natural environment through the boundary of our sensory perceptions, and regulates our form through the agency of our own planet's satellite, the Moon. This total environment of a person is bounded only by their sensory perceptions, so the signs of the zodiac have been used to set this limit. The progress of the Sun through the signs demonstrates an individual's conscious interaction with his environment through all its phases, whether it relates just to himself, to his close surroundings and possessions, to his family, his friends, his status, or the rest of Humanity. This is because the Sun, in this instance, is the purveyor of the Second Primary, the passionate attraction that produces the conscious objectivity of a Human being from his surroundings.
The zodiac signs, in their role as the original Creative Hierarchies, are responsible for the transmission of various Ray qualities as the Sun, Moon and planets pass through them; and the planets use these Ray qualities in their own unique ways to affect the inhabitants of Earth through planetary influence.
A horoscope is a map of the angles of a particular place and time, and demonstrates the unique angular influences operating at each point on the surface of the Earth. Anything created at that place and at that time will assume that individual angular pattern for the whole of its natural existence.
This is because the horoscope symbolises an angular form that has been constructed by the movement of the planets through the energy fields of the zodiac: but the reason it relates to a living person is through the agency of the Sun. Without the Sun, the form built from angles would not have the ability to experience human life as we know it, because the Sun signifies the individualised consciousness aspect, the essential ingredient to produce intelligent life out of an angular structure.
At the moment of birth, the Ascendant becomes instrumental in providing the potential consciousness awareness for the Sun to use in its progressive path around the zodiac signs as it builds its capabilities of individualisation. It is the angles of the Ascendant that produce the Second Primary consciousness initialised by the Sun, and the planets build the form by providing the Third Primary.
Human beings react with planetary and zodiacal influence through the seven major chakras or centres, which are energy vortexes that relate to points on the Human spinal column and exist on numerous levels above our normal physical reality and awareness.
The chakras do not relate to the energies associated with the astrological planets. The planets act as centres in the body of solar system, and their influence on Earth and its inhabitants is a secondary part of this process.
The energy that works through the chakras is Ray energy, and by assigning the chakras to symbolic points on the horoscope, we can appreciate how the energies of the Rays work into the life of a human being. A simplified form of the horoscope circle, the Celtic Cross.
The four major points on the horoscope: the Ascendant and its opposite, the Descendant; and the Midheaven or M.C. and its opposite the I.C., are the points which join the equal armed cross to their enclosing circle. They also relate to four of the main chakras of a human being, the Head, Heart, Solar Plexus and Sex Centres.
The symbol of the Celtic Cross has many interpretations, and in this instance can be used to show how the energies of the stars, planets and the Sun are integrated into the Earth's own planetary energy system through the cardinal compass points.
The Ascendant is the eastern point on the horizon and is the gateway for life energies coming from the zodiacal belt of star systems. It is these energies which produce life from the chemical elements of our planet Earth, and so the Ascendant pinpoints the position in both space and time where the form is instilled with the life-force to produce a conscious response: the dawn of a new life signified by the Second Primary of Conscious Awareness.
The Midheaven or M.C. is situated directly above the birthplace and the point of entry of the First Primary of Life-force, which happens at conception. The M.C. also relates to the Sex Centre, which obviously ties in with conception, as well as the superconscious, which is an adequate description of the incarnating ego. In a similar way, the Ascendant relates to the Head Centre, which ties in with the newborn child's first experience of earthbound consciousness.
The M.C. is instrumental in conception, by instigating the form building activities of the planets because the M.C. angle connects a Human being to his own eternal reality that decides the requirements for his future life. The planets may be the Lords of Karma, but karma is only metered out according to the needs of the Higher Self, which is decided by his Monad in conjunction with the Karmic Lords or planets before he is conceived. Then a symbolic plan is produced so that when the planet's positions fit that plan, the soul is born into the world.
Only four centres are shown on the horoscope because conventional astrology deals with two-dimensional space. If the horoscope is viewed as a globe, then two more centres are above and below the middle point of the circle. These two centres are the other head centre, the Crown, and the Base Centre at the base of the spine. The final major centre is shown by the central dot of the horoscope circle, which is the Throat Centre or Daath in quabbalistic terms, the transitional point between 'worlds'. In this way, the central dot of the horoscope or Celtic Cross can be viewed as the axis of a three dimensional circle or globe, one chakra placed above the point, one placed below and one centrally placed.
Only the four centres shown on a normal horoscope are subject to planetary influence. The three central chakras do not function objectively, but require association with one of the other four centres, usually the Head Centre, for us to be aware of their influence.
So in a two-dimensional drawing of a normal horoscope circle, the central point will represent three of these centres, and the difference is only visible on a three dimensional globe or from a different two-dimensional perspective.
To fully understand the relevance of the Celtic Cross to esoteric astrology we have to study it three dimensionally as a sphere, by assuming it is formed from three circles. One joins the Ascendant and Descendant. One joins the M.C. to the I.C. The last is the conventional circular form of the horoscope. This circle represents the Line of Form.
Taking the idea one stage further, and remembering the two lines of the cross represent the circumferences of extra circles, then the line joining the Ascendant to the Descendant relates to the Second Primary, the line joining the M.C. to the I.C. relates to the First Primary, leaving the actual horoscope circle of signs and houses as the Third Primary.
This illustrates how the usual horoscope circle of zodiac signs represents the ever-changing form of Third Primary life environments, which affect both the variety of Human conditions of consciousness, as well as the fluctuating condition of the volition or will. This is made possible because the Second Primary ASC/DESC axis and the First Primary M.C./I.C. axis progress at an equal rate through these 360 degrees every day.
In addition both the Line of Awareness and the Line of Volition connect the Crown Centre to the Base Centre, but esoterically volition consists of positive energy and therefore passes through the Sex and Solar Plexus Centres, whereas awareness is considered negative energy and this passes through the Head and Heart Centres. The interaction of these two, as representatives of the First and Second Primaries, produces the balanced energy of form through the Personality, representing the Third Primary, which connects the four centres we are generally aware of through our normal senses.
The interaction of the three Primary energies work through these four major centres as they represent crossing points of angles. The horizontal axis gives form to conscious thought patterns at the Ascendant via the Head Centre; and to unconscious emotional patterns at the Descendant, the Heart Centre. The vertical axis produces different types of form activity, inspired by the subconscious and instinctual desires at the I.C., via the Solar Plexus Centre; or inspired by worldly drives to succeed at the M.C., via the Sex Centre.
Each centre stands at the point where the circumference of two of the three circles intersect, except the Throat Centre, which occupies a point that could be considered as the connection point of the circumferences of further circles or globes in separate or different realities, as well as being the centre point of the circles of Volition, Form and Awareness. Table B demonstrates how these three circles can interact through these centres. Any centre can work with any Ray energy but each centre will have a strong affinity with a particular Ray. This is because each centre works with a particular frequency range that enables it to access different levels of awareness, giving it the ability to convert Ray energy to activate angles in many different areas of the psyche. So although the Head Centre for example is associated with Second Ray energy, it can use any Ray, but it will use it in such a way as to affect the consciousness aspect of the individual in question, because the Second Ray deals mainly with a person's condition and quality of consciousness. The Rays work in many different ways depending on how they are viewed, so please bear this in mind when considering the following correspondences:
- The CROWN CENTRE works with First Ray energy.
- The HEAD CENTRE works with Second Ray energy.
- The THROAT CENTRE works with Third Ray energy.
- The HEART CENTRE works with Fourth Ray energy.
- The SOLAR PLEXUS CENTRE works with Fifth Ray energy.
- The SEX CENTRE works with Sixth Ray energy.
- The BASE CENTRE works with Seventh Ray energy.
By transposing this to a horoscope - we have Second Ray energy at the Head Centre working through the Ascendant; Fifth Ray energy at the Solar Plexus Centre working through the I.C.; Fourth Ray energy at the Heart Centre, working through the Descendant, and Sixth Ray energy at the Sex Centre, working through the M.C.
The complications arise when considering the influences that work naturally through the three hidden centres represented by the central dot of the horoscope, as these influences originate with the Primary Rays, which have a separate existence to the Seven Rays:
- The First Primary, acting as the First Ray, works through the Crown Centre
- The Second Primary, acting as the Third Ray, works through the Throat Centre
- The Third Primary, acting as the Seventh Ray, works through the Base Centre.
THE PRIMARY RAYS
The first three Rays are called the Primary Rays because they embody both the original Principles of the Absolute, as well as being IDENTICAL to the First, Second and Third Rays, but need to be considered as having a separate existence in order to explain the functions of the Seven Rays, and how the Rays relate to Human life.
The Primaries are the original manifestation of the Rays working at the Monadic level of existence, where only three Rays exist. As such, they are of pure Ray quality, because they embody the essence of the Absolute.s Principles. Once they descend to the lower levels of existence, they become the Seven Rays to establish physical manifestation. The Seven Rays that relate to Human spirituality are not pure in the sense that the Primaries are pure, but instead partake of minor qualities from other Rays giving them individual and unique characteristics.
There is a difference in quality between every manifestation of the Rays on Earth, even the First, Second and Third Rays, because the reason they exist in the physical realms is to add to these qualities. The Primary Rays are pure because they cannot be improved; they are as perfect as the Absolute, as they are His Principles, and equate more with the Divine Triplicity than the actual energies of the Rays which manifest in our daily lives. I must emphasise that each Ray is equal in its manifestation on Earth, and no Ray is better, easier or more useful than any other.
There are two final points, which are central to the understanding of how the Rays function. The first is that each seventh division of the three aspects of the Absolute is closely related to every other division bearing the same number. If all Rays, Planes, and Kingdoms are numbered from the highest to lowest with the numbers from one to seven, as well as each sub-division, each numbered part will relate to all other parts with the same number, no matter where in the system it is situated. Therefore, there is a definite relationship between the Seventh Ray, the seventh sub-division of all Rays, the Seventh Plane, the Seventh sub-division of all Planes, the Seventh Kingdom, and the Seventh sub-divisions of all Kingdoms. For example, the Seventh Ray attribute of .earthing. is related to the Seventh Plane of the Physical as well as the Seventh Kingdom of minerals.
The second point is that between each level of awareness, each sub-division of each Ray and each sub-division of each Plane, there is a very real and definite barrier ~ which explains why in our normal physical state we are completely unaware of realities outside of our own.
In this section we are going to learn and discuss the Cosmic Rays of Conscious Beingness. We will first talk about and present to you the first seven cosmic rays (from the Great Central Sun) and then go into the next five higher galactic rays (8-12). These next higher rays are important to us now because we are moving out of the harmonics of the 7 into the galactic harmonics of 12. The seven cosmic rays of conscious beingness are growing stronger as they are provided to us. How are they beaming upon us? They are projected to Earth by maginified solar light into your bodies in order to empower you and bring you into wholeness again.
Higher Cosmic Rays
EIGHTH -The Aquamarine Ray of Clarity (Transfiguration)
NINTH -The magenta Ray of Harmony
TENTH -The Gold Ray of Eternal Peace
ELEVENTH -The Peach Ray of Divine Purpose
TWELFTH -The Opal Ray of Transformation
THIRTEENTH -The Silver Ray of Purification -"It is not just for purification of water systems, but for the transmutation of all toxic substances, i.e., from a body of water, plant life, food, from a human or animal body. To be used for alchemy in addition to the Seventh Ray of Violet Fire and the Eighth Ray of Transfiguration".
FOURTEENTH - Pearlized Red-Orange -"Includes energy and formulas to promote the creation of water desalination facilities, economically feasible. In addition, this Ray can be used and called forth to change chemical compounds as in alchemical restructuring. It will be used eventually, as it is better under- stood, for removal of barriers to dematerialization and rematerialization, i.e., shape shifting. Those who learn to call upon this force at will with their minds can relocate their bodies, or change the form of their bodies to seemingly inanimate objects, animal or plant form".
FIFTEENTH -Pearlized Green -Solidarity of Purpose -To promote and encourage the sane use of nuclear power in alignment with Divine Will. It will promote harmony and good will between civilizations and nations. World power nations will begin to more consciously exercise humanitarian efforts for the benefit of the human species -thinking of the good of all more often than has been accomplished in the past. This Ray may be called upon by conscious Light Workers to change the consciousness of groups who are deliberately manipulating other, i.e. in the case of some of the world religions and sects".
SIXTEENTH -Pearlized Peach or Salmon Color -"Institutes right use of Free Will choice in the consciousness, as in making Free Will choices in alignment with the Divine Plan for Earth and Human Evolution".
SEVENTEENTH -Pearlized Fuchsia -PERSONAL EMPOWERMENT -Promotes the silencing of inner conflict. Reduces the negative effects of the quickly rising vibrations on the masses to give possibilities for greater focus on spiritual growth and human evolution.
Uses of the combined 16th and 17th Rays: Move the masses to begin promoting what fosters feelings of peace,i.e., in decorating schemes in public; closing off from public view while construction and reconstruction is being accomplished; promotion of the arts for the creation of beauty and beautification instead of art that simply reflects horror and the internal conflict of the artist".
EIGHTEENTH -Opalescent Lavender -"Promotes evolution of the species by scientific and medical breakthroughs to pro- mote greater understanding of the human DNA and ways to sanely adjust genetically for hereditary diseases. This will give greater awareness to the scientific and medical communities of the effects of mental control on the body, i.e. the stimulation of the immune system by exposure of the individual or group to certain colors of light and certain sound vibrations; increase knowledge of the effects light and sound have on the DNA and therefore health. Formulas for the cure of several so-called "incurable diseases" included in the release of this Ray into the etheric of Earth".
NINETEENTH- Opalescent Turquoise -"Ray to change the DNA of the human species to increase the use of the brain capacity, i.e. removes the veil that limits conscious use of the brain; increases the ability for telepathic communications specifically with dolphins, whales and marine life. This will increase the creation of laws to protect all animal species, which are considered to have evolutionary consciousness. More awareness of animal evolutionary consciousness as increased awareness of human evolutionary consciousness comes about. This will in- crease the possibilities of human conscious telepathic contact; - will create a consciousness of other frequencies of communications and energy waves beyond telegraph, telephone, radio, television and microwaves. Greater understanding of communications in general with the species, i.e. how information is taken in, stored and retrieved by the human brain; cross-over between right and left brain consciousness, understand of information; similarities and differences between human brain and cetaceans brains; study of brains through sonographic photography to record brain wave frequencies of thought and thought projection toward an object, plant, animal of another human; a way to photograph and record speech patterns as in recording dreams
And telepathic communications between individuals, animals, plants, and dreams (similar to thought photography ). Ultra sensitive film and paper sensitive to thought and senses will be developed. (heat sensitive fabric dye is an example which has already been created ) Pulsation's of thoughts recorded in the brain by sensors attached to the eyes, because the eyes record all neuron impulses; more advancement in NLP and DNA restructuring methods will come to the awareness of humans because of this RAY".
TWENTIETH - Opalescent Royal Blue -Used to control the energy of the magma of the Earth. Used to disperse the pressure built up which causes earthquakes.
TWENTY-FIRST- Opalescent Chartreuse -Climate Control - causes orchestration between the Elemental Kingdoms of Earth, Fire, Water and Air for more peaceful weather. Capable of dissipating thunderstorms, tornadoes, hurricanes, hail storms, typhoons.
TWENTY SECOND -Opalescent Fire -Energy of Emerald Fire -Used to purify polluted conditions, either physica1 or emotional.
